The nurturing environment maintained by our confident team of teachers provides the perfect conditions for children to explore, discover, and become happy confident learners. Our methods have proved successful time and again, with our children achieving both academic success and high degrees of responsibility and self confidence.

Continuing the practical life learning, the children learn to take responsibility for themselves and others. They take an active role in maintaining the classroom and put materials away in the proper place, ready for the next child.

We expect children to do as much as they can for themselves. From sorting out their own snack to changing their shoes and putting on a coat. Also they exercise choice over what work to do from a set of good options.

In the multi-age setting, the children learn from each other, and they learn because of each other. Younger children get a chance to look ahead and see what is coming while older children can reinforce their knowledge by sharing with the younger ones.

The children are able to garden, collect and identify leaves, even find geometric shapes in the shadows. The school has a number of different outdoor areas that are integrated into the classroom.
Our Children's House caters for children from three to five years old. The children follow a full Montessori curriculum, continuing the holistic child centred approach begun in our Toddler Community.
Children are guided through a wide range of activities, beginning with lots of hands on learning, and moving at their own pace towards abstract ideas and concepts.
